Last week, I watched such an inspiring documentary about Tom Ford with the master himself. Besides of the insight in his wonderful world dedicated to beauty and fashion, in fact beauty, thus fashion, I loved when he emphasized in the end the words: Nothing lasts..   Nothing lasts is a miraculous philosophy. Life is all about living the precious moments of here and now, while looking straight forward.. Of course.

When perfection is the one and only aim..

If ever Ancient Egypt and India and the XIX century, aristocratic Russia   met in the XXII century  with some British and Parisian dandies and dandizettes , the outcome would be like the  Jean Paul Gaultier's Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2012/2013 S how.  Once again, Jean Paul Gaultier overwhelmed the world with a tribute to Nonconformity and eccentricity. He redefined tuxedos and set new standards by playing with asymmetrical forms and by mixing a variety of materials. Jumpsuits for women are delightful, especially a gold one is splendid. In this flood of inspirations, the track will be kept thanks to transparency: transparent fabrics for men and women are a visible statement. Moreover, this  Haute Couture  Show had as well very haute accents: the plateau high heels, but above all the playful added top hat gave the show a theatrical charm.  It is good to see that creativity has no limits.

The renewed New Look at Dior , the New Vintage at Chanel and a flower flood everywhere beating even Monet's Water Lilies  invasion is a general résumé of the Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week. Let the world flourish and let the fashion flourish seems to be the global message. Moreover, it seemed that the Chanel Show was designed by Mademoiselle herself. Beautiful tweed costumes and marvelous wide trousers made you watching, loving and wanting. Now. Even if tweeting is good, tweeding is better. In every version. It is classic and elegant, eternal and chic, dateless and timeless.. Just Chanel ..

As known, life is all about being at the right time, at the right place. This is an art that either you Cannes or you Cannot. Tomorrow King Karl is speaking and his voice will be Haute. Haute Couture in Paris is an unique time. And the right time, even perfect.. and only perfection makes sense at any time, at any place.  The only certainty these days is that the Chanel Haute Couture Show will be splendid, magnificent and stunning and that beautiful clothes will save the world..
