Run(A)way..

I read a quote of Karl Lagerfeld issued by Fashion TV today: "I'm very much down to earth, just not this earth". Words that made me smile. Another person who seems to be down to another earth is Anna Dello Russo, a famous fashion maniac I really felt in love with. Her style is awesome and she looks great no matter what she is wearing. I just love people who live for their passion, out of a standard scheme. Standard, normal, routine - all these words don't exist in my dictionary and they just disgust me more than words can say. That's why I love fashion so much: Fashion is never the same, it is always surprising, unpredictable, inspiring and above all.. extravagant..

It was tremendous. It left me speechless. But remaining mute seems to be " in " according to the film academies nowadays.   Angelina Jolie   has done an amazing job with her first movie '' In the Land of Blood and Honey ''. I always admired her, like I admire all the strong women, but Mrs Jolie has this unique attitude of going her own way, of being controversial (the question is not " Why is she ?", but '' Why shouldn't she ?") and doing what seems right for her. The results are unbelievable and the contribution she is making to this world again and again is just admirable. The movie is touching a delicate topic that needed courage in order to be touched. Mrs Jolie did it. I highly, highly recommend it to watch even if the world seems to be more interested in Mrs Jolie leg than in her work, thus the real winner of the 84th Oscar Academy Awards  was in fact Versace . Fur is in the Air..

I was so excited while attending that Paris   John Galliano F/W 2010/2011 show (photo above), because art is blasting the boundaries imposed by one's mind.. And that was pure art!  Art can always get Bigger. Better. Stronger.  That's why fashion is so fascinating and we are so happy to have so many brilliant voguish minds around us.. While watching the Alexander McQueen F/W 2012/2013 show, the same excitement of viewing something ingenious overwhelmed me.. Fur was everywhere. Creativity was exploding.. Through Sarah Burtons hands, Alexander McQueen became suddenly Alexander MyKing ..  A mind that creates inter alia à la Daphne  shoes can only be an angel sent from heaven, even if this mind has already returned home.. But thanks to all those terrific pieces, we have heaven on earth..
